UPCOMING EVENT

Upstate Global Professionals (UGP), sponsored by The International Center of the Upstate presents "Geographic Drivers of Capital Investment" The Art and Science behind Location Decisions on Monday, March 1 at 6pm. Join us at 104 Trade, Greer. Reception at 6pm, presentation begins at 6:30pm. Presenters are: John Sisson and Didi Caldwell from Global Asset Positioning.
South Carolina has had two recent headline catching announcements. Boeing , a Seattle stalwart, announced last year that they would be building the new line for the Dreamliner in North Charleston ; and just within the last few days, Proterra announced that it would be developing and manufacturing its buses and electric/batter drive systems at Clemson's ICAR in Greenville . How were those decisions made? What were the most important factors in those decisions? John Sisson and Didi Caldwell have more than 35 years combined experience in helping companies around the world make such decisions. They will share recent experiences in China , Peru , as well as the United States ; and will discuss the completive advantages and disadvantages of South Carolina and the Upstate in recruiting capital investment. The event will be held at 104 Trade in Greer, a historic structure that is currently being renovated into flexible office suites that will support the growing Greer and Upstate business community. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the building and learn more about their development plans. Event includes heavy hors d'oeuvres and wine. This event is free for Upstate Global Professionals members, but RSVP is required before Friday, February 26 at 12pm. Space is limited. Tickets for International Center members and other guests are $20.
